Whether you are a parent helping your kid, or yourself are ordering prom flowers, we can help! There are basic elements when building a corsage or boutonniere, and it doesn’t need to be the dreaded overwhelming task some might make it. Here you’ll find it broke down in 3 steps!

Color: Don’t just go with something safe! It’s common that if she is wearing a white dress, they automatically go with white on white on white corsage. The result, it a white poof on her wrist! There is an endless array of colorful ribbon, why not pick her favorite color!? Want something extra unique? Mix it up with multiple colors, you don’t want to blend in… STAND OUT!

Accessories: It’s not just ribbon and flowers nowadays, bling it up! This is where you make it different from everyone else. For a corsage, start with the bracelet, it’s the base that holds it together. There are sequins, rhinestone, pearls and combinations of those, not to mention some can be a keepsake to remember the special event. After that, tuffs of tulle, glitter leaves, sprays of rhinestones, feathers, you name it and we will make it! If it is going in the corsage, don’t be afraid to add it to the boutonniere too! This helps make it a matching set and completes the look.

Flowers: Save the best for last! There are a fun variety of flowers and colors of flowers always available. You can keep a clean look of using a single variety, or maybe mix a few together. Roses are traditional and very nice, but if its more that you’re looking for, try adding orchids, alstromeria, or maybe delphinium blossoms. Once again, go ahead and try something new!

Those are the 3 simple parts to building your prom flowers! A few last-minute tips, if you can, bring a picture of the dress for reference. Also, come in together to decide or have one person handle the ordering, you always want the corsage and boutonniere ordered at the same shop! Then last, be prepared to pay in advance, it’ll be one less thing to worry about when its time to pick it up!
